Motionize development has taken a different path and this development version has adopted a different name: Vekpo. The ultimate delivery and interface method is still in testing but a preliminary offering is available on the Motionize Development page. It currently only works with iDraw/Graphic files.
Vekpo will rejoin Motionize on its official release but until then please feel free to offer suggestions and submit issues via email. Thanks for your patience!
The future of Motionize is to support a limited filetype input set including: iDraw/Graphic, SVG and PDF. Along with this native support (currently only iDraw/Graphic) will be an API for support of other formats.
Hey Scott,
Thought I’d drop a comment here to see if Vekpo is continuing?
I’ve noticed the latest update to Motion 5.3 no longer appears to allow the import of Motion files (into Motion) – so the otherwise excellent Vekpo workflow is no longer working.
What are your thoughts?
Yes, Vekpo is continuing but at a slow pace. I have a full load this semester and last semester was also very intense. I will graduate in May 2017 after which I’ll be able to focus more on Vekpo. Reader Matt Hirsch has posted a workaround for getting shape files into Motion 5.3. It works great.
This is an awesome project! Hope for the best and will be in gratitude forever when it´s released as a final product.
Vekpo (0.92) makes a Motion project as expected from Graphic (3.0.1) but the Motion (5.2.3) projects show up empty.
Keep up the good work and thanks in advance!
I’m sorry., but again the file is empty. Here are the original files (link as Webseite)
Please click on my Name to download the file.
Converted files with Vekpo are all empty in Motion. What’s wrong?
Peer –
I’m sorry it’s not working for you. A more recent version was just released that may fix the issue. If it does not would you please email me the file you’re having difficulty with?
